Jeremy Corbyn won a landslide victory today as results poured in for 2019's Scruffiest Bastard of the Year contest.
Sadly, previous champion Dennis Skinner's run of 20 years came to an end as he lost his seat by an astonishing number of votes. Not since the days of the late Michael Foot have we seen such an overwhelming margin of victory.
Boris Johnson was well out of the running, with Corbyn's running mate Diane Abbott and the SNP's Mhairi Black grabbing second and third places respectively. Abbott also claimed the Cyril Smith Memorial Trophy for Fat Bastard of the Year.
Asked for comment on his party's achievements, Corbyn simply stated, "We look like what we are: winners."
